Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory

In the industrial microbiology laboratory, different organism isolations are made from soil, rhizosphere soil, sediment and compost, mainly Actinomycetes group. The first step of molecular identification is performed by 16S rRNA sequence analysis of these isolated organisms. Further analyzes the isolates that may be of a new species are carried out to identify new species in the literature. At the same time, biotechnological studies such as the composting process are used to determine the possibilities of using these organisms. Also, environmental biotechnology continues to work on the biological treatment of industrial wastewater. Recent years have continued to work in the field of bioremediation technologies, which include biocorrosion, bioaccumulation and biodegradation mechanisms. In this context, studies on the removal of pollutants such as dyestuffs, heavy metals, and pesticides from wastewater are carried out.
