EVS (European Voluntary Service)
Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University International Relations office made an application to the National Agency: European Union Education and Youth Program Center for the accreditation of EVS on the 18th of November in 2011.
What is EVS?
EVS which is the second of the 5 different European Implementation Programs and therefore called as Action-2 is a voluntary work program for community-based and social projects for a non-governmental organization.
You do not receive a salary-like fee for your volunteer work. You will be able to get food, accommodation, language training, local transport, insurance, individual care and little pocket money, though. An EVS Project allows you to be a volunteer in a European country either short term (between 2-8 weeks- only for the disabled and for young people with limited possibilities or as long term between 2-12 months.
