Research Interest
In the Ecological Genetics Laboratory the following studies are carried out:
Isolation of secondary metabolites from medicinal aromatic plants,
Determination of allelopathic effects of the obtained secondary metabolites on germination and seedling development in other plants
Spectrophotometric measurements of some plant-derived enzymes
The effects of abiotic stress factors on seed germination and seedling growth parameters.
Besides, the molecular level studies are accomplished on plants subjected to abiotic stress.
