1.2.1. Program qualifications (graduates’ knowledge, skills and competencies)
In the Horticulture Department, the knowledge and skills required to be acquired by the students are designed on the basis of the subject. The knowledge, skills and competencies planned to be gained are included in the education-training program, training, measurement and evaluation form. Course information packages including course contents, objectives and learning outcomes are available online on our university website. Students are required to pass the courses and classes, exemption from courses, and from the top / bottom of the course. Mid-term, year-end and make-up exams for elective and compulsory courses are offered. According to the education and training regulations and guidelines of the BSEU, the students’ raw achievement score is calculated by adding 40% of the mid-term exam average and 60% of the final exam score. In order to be successful in this course, this grade must be at least 60 out of 100 points. However, in accordance with the relevant directive, the students who do not have their final grade / year-end and make-up exams below 50 points out of 100 are not calculated. The student is considered unsuccessful. Exams; test, written, oral, practical or written-oral, written-applied or written-oral-applied. At least one midterm exam is held for each course. In case of a practical exam in the courses carried out together with the theoretical and practical exams, this exam replaces a midterm exam. The Faculty Board of Directors decides on the manner and number of exams. Raw success grades are determined using the Sen Absolute Note System ”, one of the methods determined by the BSEC Senate. In order to be successful in a course, the success grade must be at least CC or higher. With the completion of the Bologna process, the departmental courses will be coordinated with the relevant departments of other universities involved in the Bologna process.

The knowledge and skills required to be gained by the students in our department will be defined on the basis of course /topic. The knowledge, skills and competencies planned to be gained will be included in the education program, education, measurement and evaluation. The contents of the courses, objectives and learning outcomes of the current courses in our faculty will be uploaded to our website.
