1.3. Research & Development

The physical / technical infrastructure and financial resources of the unit are sufficient to carry out activities within the scope of research priorities. The criteria for the allocation of internal resources to research activities have been determined by the Faculty Administrative Board. These criteria are changed by the Faculty Administrative Board when needed. In research activities, priorities for in-unit resource allocation are compliance with the unit’s research priorities, basic research, applied research, and experimental development. Priority areas are: fruit and berry breeding, development of cultivation techniques, irrigation, tissue culture and modern biotechnology. Priority is given to the evaluation of scientific research projects with university-industry cooperation and there is no budget limitation. Interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research has priority. Priority is given to the evaluation of scientific research projects that are applicable to the public and industry. Existing external support provided outside the organization is in line with the corporate objectives. All software received from scientific research projects are licensed. The financial sustainability of our faculty is provided by supporting the physical / technical infrastructure of our faculty by supporting the current capital and BAP budget.
