Agricultural Application and Research Center

Application and Research Center is used for the studies of the academic staff of all Departments in the Faculty and all faculty members who conduct research on plant-soil-water resources of the University. In addition, undergraduate students of our faculty find the opportunity to practice in this field and reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge.

Many projects are carried out in the Application and Research Center. Supported by the Scientific Research Projects Coordinator of our University and TÜBİTAK University Students Research Projects and some of the doctoral thesis studies are carried out, it is possible to list these studies as follows;

  • Adaptation and breeding studies of different forage crops
  • Adaptation trials of different grape varieties
  • Effects of supporting irrigation of safflower plant on yield and product quality
  • Determination of yield and product quality characteristics of different wheat varieties
  • Determination of water-yield relationships of tomato plants in conditions with and without mulch
  • Effects of foliar application to facilitate harvesting in soybeans
  • Determination of grass and silage yields of corn-legume mixtures
  • Chickpea-Lentil Adaptation Studies
  • Wheat – Barley – Oat adaptation studies

The Agricultural Application and Research Center also hosts research conducted within the scope of Biotechnology, one of the thematic areas of the University. In addition, in order to contribute to increase the agricultural production and quality of Bilecik Province, to carry out adaptation studies of new varieties, to ensure more effective use of soil-water resources by using new techniques and technologies, and to implement pilot projects in order to revive the viticulture from the past to the present in the province, it has a very important place for our city and university.
