Department of Horticulture

The department offers and is involved in Bachelor degree education program with theoretical and applied curricalum on orchard, vegetables and viticulture covering agronomy and plant breeding. Our objective is to graduate our students as horticulturists with scientific and practical privileged level on the one hand, and to conduct research projects at local, regional and national levels on the other hand. Our objectives also include the missions of conveying all regional, national and international innovations to our students and making them talented with the ability to independently conduct research studies on orchard, vegetables and viticulture.

Our graduates can be employed by firstly provincial and district directorates of agriculture, provincial food control laboratories, research institutes, agricultural credit cooperatives, rural development agencies, special provincial administrations, Turkish Agricultural Bank and other private banks, municipalities, private seed, seding and sapling firms, cold storage and packaging buildings, tomato paste, preserves  and juice factories, private farms and greenhouse firms as they also establish and run their own ventures, can be dealer of seed, fertilizer and pesticides.
