The Central Research Laboratory (MARAL) was established in Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, 2011 to assist in the studies of universities, state institutions and organizations, and researchers working in the industry. Our laboratory, which continues its services as Central Research Laboratory (MARAL) until 11/12/2017, turned into the Research Center status according to the regulation published in the Official Journal No. 30267 and it is named as Central Research Laboratory Application and Research Center (BARUM).
BARUM supports scientific research/development studies in materials characterization, biomaterials, composite materials, defense industry materials, space and aircraft materials, nanomaterials, surface properties, geology, mining, cement, ceramics, chemistry, biology and biochemistry with its advanced technology devices. Our laboratory is experienced in research, consulting and industrial studies.
In accordance with this purpose in BARUM, High temperature X-ray diffractometer (HT-XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM-EDX), Mercury Porosimetry, Surface Area Measuring (BET), Gas Pycnometer, Particle Size Measuring, Particle Size in Nano Particles and Zeta Potential Measuring instruments can be used for simultaneous thermal analysis (TG/TG-DTA/TG-DSC), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Ultraviolet Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS), Gas Chromatography (GC), High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography-tandem-Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS), Elemental Analysis (CHN/S), Micro-hardness and Stereo Microscope instruments have been installed and training has been completed.
