ADIM Physics Days VIII
ADIM Universities Consortium was founded in 30/03/2001 with the cooperation of Adnan Menderes University, Pamukkale University, Süleyman Demirel University, and Muğla University. These universities came together at the Rectorate of Pamukkale University and signed a partnership protocol under the name of ADIM in order to act together in the fields of education, scientific-technical and social-cultural cooperation.
Then Afyon Kocatepe University and Dumlupinar University join to ADIM organization in 2003 and 2005 respectively. This organization even was expanded in the following years: Pamukkale University on December 25, 2008, as a result of “Regional University Rectors Meeting”; Mehmet Akif Ersoy University and Uşak University participated in this process and the name of this cooperation was decided to continue as ADIM. Celal Bayar University in 2011, Balıkesir University and International Antalya University in 2012, as a result of the Rectors Meeting held at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on 02 April 2013 and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University participated in the Consortium.
Signed ADIM Protocol; within the framework of the Collaboration Program carried out by universities looking for a common solution to common problems, which are close to each other in geography and establishment date, aiming to determine the principles related to joint and graduate education, scientific and technological research and development projects, social and cultural studies. ADIM Universities come together to provide cooperation and joint ventures in education, research and development, scientific-technical, social and cultural inter-university events.
General Directorate of Universities is carried out by Pamukkale University. By the Coordinators; The meeting information to be held in the Universities of the Consortium and the decisions taken at the meeting are notified to ADIM Universities and continue to function as a center where the consortium’s activities are announced and archived. In addition, ADIM Unit Officers were identified in the consortium member universities and the coordination was faster and more efficient. ADIM Universities web page was prepared and published. In the web page, the decisions regarding the meetings are published and a meeting archive is established with the decisions of the previous years. To date, many meetings have been held between ADIM Universities. In these meetings, common problems faced by universities and solutions were determined and decisions were taken to act jointly. Joint doctoral programs have been opened among the departments.
ADIM Universities Physics Departments first came together with the departments of ADIM Universities. In 2010, ADIM Physics Days I was held in Afyon Kocatepe University. In 2012, ADIM Physics Days II at Pamukkale University. In 2014, ADIM Physics Days III at Süleyman Demirel University. In 2016, ADIM Physics Days IV at Dumlupinar University. In 2016, ADIM Physics Days V in Eskisehir Osmangazi University. In 2017 ADIM Physics Days at Balikesir University and seventh in Adnan Menderes University in 2018 STEP Physics Days VII.
ADIM VIII Physics Days will take place on 12 – 15 September 2019 at the Biecik University Physics Department. In parallel with the developments in the field of physics, the congress aims to create a collaborative environment for scientific sharing and collaborative work. Honorary President of the Congress Bilecik University Rector. Dr. İbrahim TAŞ, Mayor of Bilecik, together with their participation, wish to have a beautiful congress in Bilecik and offer them love and respect.
